life is a cup of coffee

a group of alumni highly established in their career
get together to visit their old university professor
conversation soon turned into complaint
about stress in work and lyfe

Offering his guess coffee
the professor went to the kitchen
and return with a large pot of coffee
and an assortment of cups
porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal
some plain looking
some expensive
some exquisite

he told his guest to help themself to teh coffee
after everyone had a cup of coffee
the professor said:
" If you noticed
all the nice-loking expensive cups had been taken up
leaving behind the plain and cheap one.

while its normal
for you to want only the best for yourself
that is the sources
of your problems and stress

be assured that the cups
add NO QUALITY to the coffee
in some cases
it's just more expensive
and in some cases
even hide what we drink

What all of you really wanted is the coffee
NOT THE CUPS!!!!
but you consciously went for the best cup
and then began to eyeing each other's cups
to see who had the best one

Now consider this
Lyfe is the coffee
The job, money and position in society
are the cups
they are just TOOLS
to hold and contain LYFE
and the typeof cups we have does not DEFINE
nor CHANGE the quality of lyfe we live

Sometimes...
by concentrating only on the cup
we forgot to enjoy the coffee

Sovor the COFFEE not the CUPS
the happiest person dont HAVE the best of everything
they just MAKE the best of everything
